Malaria Study in Tribal Areas of Betul-Chhindwara Region M.P.(India)

Malaria is the queen of diseases disturbing world population and economy.The malaria parasite breeds in stagnant water pools, accumulated rain water places. The Malaria has been a main health hazard of India for centuries.Tribal population always suffered from diseases like malaria. There is a need to study the environment and malaria patterns in tribal areas.In Betul-Chhindwara region tribal population is 37.05 percent while in the state it is 20.27 percent. Hence Betul- Chhindwara region is declared as tribal region and Gond, Korku and Bharia are important tribes of study area . This book is based on the various segments of tribal population, living conditions, housing etc. that play an important role in the malaria incidence. This work helps to understand local epidemiology of malaria and role of preventive resources and facilities available among tribal areas of Betul-Chhindwara region of Madhya Pradesh, India.This book should be relevant to social, economical, cultural and behavioural facts of tribal that may affects the disease and their control activities.
