IJsbrand van Veelen Die Fotoarbeiten von Scarlett Hooft Graafland, Grenzgängerin zwischen Fotografie, Performance und Skulptur, sind Zeugnisse ihrer streng choreografierten Live-Performances in den Salzwüsten Boliviens, in der kanadischen und norwegischen Arktis, im ländlichen China und Indien, in den Lavafeldern Islands oder in der niederländischen Kulturlandschaft. Fasziniert von der unwirklichen Schönheit der rauhen Naturlandschaften, nutzt sie diese als ihre Leinwand. Die niederländische Künstlerin Hooft Graafland (*1973) hat ihre Arbeiten bereits in zahlreichen Gruppen- und Einzelausstellungen gezeigt, darunter die Rencontres d'Arles, die World Expo in Shanghai, das MOCCA Museum in Toronto und das Huis Marseille Museum for Photography in Amsterdam.
